Having returned to Crimea after 14 months to my P38 (that had sat outside)to find not surprisingly 3 of tyres flat and bottomed out on the suspension. Connected the battery and gave it a turn hoping for the best, 2nd crank and it fired up no problem what a surprise and relief. was worried about the suspension as could hear the compressor going but no lift. Gave the wing a shove and up she went, operated the height adjust a few times and good as gold Oh so happy about all this. Any way giving the thing a clean I discovered a flap I had never seen before. it is in the drivers foot well with the fuel pump icon the same as the filler cap. any body got any idea what it is as I could not get my head far enough in to see what is behind the flap. Also put my tyre compressor on and all the tyres blew up perfect, again so happy.

siliconed the snorkel 'repair' elbow. why do people cut the top elbow off snorkels just to replace with gutter pipe? can't really complain as I got it for free

Fitted 2 front springs and a tracked rod end ball joint in 4 and a half hours to my Disco Td5. Very pleased with myself proudly took it back for Mot retest only to find he ment the DRAG link Aaaaah. So I have now done that and a PASS the mot.

MOT'd it......sailed through which was a surprise!
Tightened alt belt to stop it squeeling.....failed
Wired roof bar spots temporarily (relay from main beam)......kinell are they bright!!!

Fitted the replacement starter motor as the old one was interfering with the crankshaft signal. While I was at it I discovered that the alternator lead is badly corroded so did a temporary repair on it but will have to do something more permanent in the next week or so.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I then went to collect some coal but was unable to get any so I'll have to get some at a later date. :(:(:(
