Just ordered some Track rod ends. Thought I would go for more up market ones as the last ones that came in a blue box only lasted four years. Ordered a new down exhaust pipe, rear brake shoes, rear wheel cylinders, Brake adjusters and a steering damper.
New foot wells get fitted next week. I will then give it a grease up and I should be ready for the winter. Normally when I feel good about my Defender and spend some money on it, something else goes.

My landy is off the road at the moment. The clutch slave cylinder went. Had it towed back and the recovery worker noted that the handbrake didnt work too well. How do I adjust the cable. It has had new shoes within the past year

Set about finding the source of the intermittent squealing noise & stench of burning rubber on the 300tdi. Since my missus was mad keen to get her motor back she came to help. It turns out that the bottom ac pulley bearing was utterly fubar, a tad surprising as it was only replaced a couple of months ago. Could have been much worse, so bit of a result really.

I popped over to see LZ's resident porn connoisseur. We fitted a new stub axle and wheel bearings to his slitty powered 90.

Travelling over to him I freed off my turbo wastegate as it was sticking yet again.

Fitted new rear springs shocks and trailing arm bushes to the 110, Was going to do the fronts but weather stopped play  So that's tomorrows job.

Using this , mate material . Should of said its flexable enough but its a pain to fit round the contours, so its ended up wrinkly...should of paid some one else tae do it. balls....you would of thought that had yu seen ma pressie wrapping!

Haha not the easiest thing to do I carpeted mine but bet it was the top rear left and right that where the hardest to do.
