What have you done to your Freelander today

Swapped wiper blades for aero type fitted bearings onto VCU ready to refit tomorrow. Changed expansion tank as old one was crazed and split.

Will report on longevity or not as the case may be of britpart tank and VCU bearings. But as I do all my own spannering I don't mind replacing parts twice as often for a third of the price!

This was yesterday, but, little something arrived from RealBeale, as modelled by my glamorous assistant, cheers :D Just need to make up some pipework and decide if I want to fit it or not...just for laughs

Looks awesome!

Today i tried to replace my hazard light switch as it wasn't illuminating, only to find that the one I purchased off flea bay doesn't illuminate either..... 2 dodgy switches? Or something else! Only time will tell!

Early on today i got 4 new tyres fitted, Event ml698 all terrain ones
(been meaning to upgrade from road tyres 4 months now, never had the balls till this morning)

and then realised when putting the older tyres in my boot that the rear seat had broken. later discovery this (the wire popped out, common problem again???)

Still have the same problem but I am sure they should illuminate. I remember you posted a link to the bulb a while ago...
R509TJBR 60MA T3 Panel Bulb 14V 1.2W Brown Base

Not trying to waste more of your hard earned, but perhaps seeing as you now have two switches, you could try to prise the front off one to see if the bulb is actually replaceable? I have definitely seen a picture of the facelift switch with the front off but cannot find it now!

Cursed the Sahara dust that is all over it .... looking forward to running the pressure washer over it tomorrow...... hopefully nothing will fall off (apart from the doors, obviously)...

Bulb is easily replaceable, no need to prize the front off, it just unscrews from the bottom, I shall take a photo tonight,

Might be my earth for the switch that's not connecting, going to play with multimeter when I get in

Had the prop bearings and VCU damper replaced, drop links replaced, injector leak off test and a check for error codes. All in good health VCU good and no more annoying knocks.

Fitted the pierburgh maf and ronbox I bought from epicuser, feels like a new vehicle, plenty of power and torque as it's set on number 10, still have the lumpy running though so going to have a leak off test and see if one of the injectors is playing up.

But overall, happy with the ronbox, will make towing our caravan easier.

Glad it all works great. Enjoy.

Looks good that.
I quite fancy one of those now!!

Not so keen on it myself. Call me old fashioned but I prefer the tubular drain pipe type.

On the aerodynamic type, how do you keep it from filling with water when it's parked?
The engine sucking in a big gulp of water the first time the boost come in won't do it much good!!

Had a 300 mile round trip today, put some cleaner stuff in the tank while it was under 1/4 full, blasted it up the motorway before filling up and it seems to be running very well indeed. Just got the rear window regulator, fuel filter, auto box fluid, oil and filter change, erg to clean along with the inter cooler etc, parking sensors to fix, few stone chips to sort, new bonnet to fit, handbrakes/rear shoes and paint the drums (assuming they are ok), paint the calipers, have a look at the subwoofer and give it a machine polish and valet. Should keep me going for a while. Niggles really, but bugging the ****e outta me!

Tried out a Clay Bar on the bonnet after washing.

Got to say it was ****.

Had to spend 30 mins afterwards t-cutting the scratches out caused by minute bits of grit that kept appearing in the bar
