What have you done to your Freelander today

Ordered some new tyres-Nankang SP5 to match, £82 a corner fitted. I can't fault them, 24k on the set, need 2 cos fronts are showing markers at the edges. Could have been the tired trackrod end, or me just being a bad driver (ask tdiStu!). They are half canny gently green laning-lower body damage to me and I don't want to damage me any more.
I'll be putting the rears on the front & new 'uns on the back.

Long list today!
Repaired CD changer, changed little bulbs behind heater controls and clock, fixed pop out ash tray on dash, sealed around antenna hole in roof, and installed thick plastic wheelcover with reflective chevrons.

I fitted my wind deflectors today.
If I had read the instructions it might have saved me from losing a clip inside the door & having to remove the lower door panel to retrieve it, but everyone knows men don't read instructions!

Are those wind deflectors actually worth it? I had them on all my Pajeros and ripped them off within the first day as the edge was right on my line of vision and when wet in the dark I couldn't see a thing. Never found they did much either. The only benefit was being able to leave windows open a crack in the summer without sticky fingers getting inside. For that reason I left the back ones on. Do they do much on the Freelander?

Not sure yet.
Am heading down to Lyndhurst on Friday so will see what they're like on the motorway.

Booked mine in next week for some TLC with Terrain Vehicles, including a new thermostat - it is covered by warranty, so large part of the cost will hopefully be recovered. fingers crossed!

I have some on mine at the moment, but thinking about taking them off again. Fed up with the blind spot created by them as they are dark. They came with the car, so I am not bothered. I have the rear ones as well, but they aren't fitted at the moment.

They make the A pillars even larger to see past, which could cause a problem on dark nights. (or with Dark Knights? :D )

My cousin lives in Lyndhurst so I visit most weekends.
I'm in Seaford, East Sussex so only 2hrs on the A27, or 1:20 on the motorbike!

Very nice! There's a lot of roads closed in the Forest today due to flooding under bridges, not as bad as last year, and I got under that bridge with the Porsche U Boat, without getting stuck, nor doors falling off...:high5:

Got my FL trough MOT today. Have changed both lower arms. Had a hard time getting the stuck bush casing off my old ones. Got them off eventually using a gear puller. Bushes is still stuck to the old lower arms. Fitted polybushes to the new ones.

Fitted new brake pads and discs up front as well. Guide pins was stuck in the caliper. Had to heat them up and hammer them out. Also fitted new drums, shoes and new handbrake cables.

New track rod ends and anti rollbar links, no hazzle. Fitted new polybushes to the anti rollbar. Did also align it correctly, clunking is finally gone.

I did also hammer away all that was left of the heatshield on the dieseltank cradle and gave it a respray. Doesnt look dodgy anymore even though it is.

Kinda optimistic when i arrived at MOT. But didnt go through, one gone bulb and needed new tires. So had to buy a new set of studded tires, which isnt to bad. Just the cost...
