Finally realised why my FL has been bleeping at me for the past 18 months when ever I got in to it. Bleeping now sorted (Doh!).

Oh, one to remember, never had that

fitted new clutch master cylinder on my td4 . seemed to go on too easy hope connections are good .

Don't worry about it too much when the beeping starts. I reckon you'll have about a year before you need to rush out to the shops and buy new batteries

thanks for posting this mines beeped at me for the past 5 months I've had the car always thought it was part of the alarm system

is that the bleeping after you unlock the car and then open the door ? mine bleeps after opening the drivers door then stops after the key is inserted

Yep. That's the one. Hurry, you have about one year to replace your fob battery.

Me as well. Suckered by a bleep. The garage didn't know either! Best way get down the all-night shop before they run out.....

There's not a moment to lose, the games afoot, before you know it, it will be 2017.

Oddly the beeping was the first thing I researched as it was bloody annoying. No doubt also annoyed the neighbours when I started early and it was tweeting away.

Mine both have new batteries but still beep? Maybe they don't like Poundland 10 for a pound cheapies.

From the research I've done into the beeping. If the battery voltage in the fob drops below 2 Volts, the beeping starts. I've also found that cheap batteries can cause the beep when new.
Both fobs in my recently acquired SE beeped on entry to the car. I changed both batteries and the beeping stopped. I used Panasonic batteries, because that's what I had.
