Fitted LED strip lights in the footwells and under the back seats which are wired in with the courtesy light so I can finally see what I am getting in to when it's dark.
One left to fit in the boot area.

The standard yellow light in the centre of the roof on the 3 door is absolute crap (even with a led bulb fitted) and the 5 door unit is just too big to be fitted under the cubby hole above the interior mirror.

72  Mine only have 15 and it's bright enough.

Plan is to fit the boot one on the roof of the hardtop (on the frame above the glass) (Inside obviously)
I guess I shall have to get some sort of "pull apart" connector for when the roof comes off, but connecting into the boot courtesy light should be easy enough.

Drive it to work, plan on driving it home again, put in a bottle of wynns injected cleaner the other day, feels so much smoother and lighter for some reason :)

checked timing. 2 teeth out. shouted, swore and threw things. Regained composure pushed it outside and cycled home in the rain

Tried to bleed the coolant and the f'in crappy plastic bleed screw broke in half.

ran stealers, for replacement part. No parts till Monday

Swore, grumped, got generally p****d off.

removed the ptc in-cab heater relay today ..
just to see how the coolant heat on its own would perform ..
( heater worked just fine )

aim to install a separate switch for the ptc heater ..
want to keep heater temp dial up high .. without the ptc heater engaging
am convinced it's a big reason for low mpg during freezing weather ..
more so than the ac/demist setup ..

( given it's effect on the idle rpm .. and also just above idle
( not to mention added load on the battery/alternator

ac doesn't seem to effect my mpg to any noticable extent .. or power delivery by much
at least that was the observation during summer ..
( and i don't do 'v.short trips' .. usually 20/30 miles at least ..
( once in a blue moon a 3 mile journey to town

my mpg dropped by 7 in the recent freezing temps
( ptc heater 'on' almost constantly due to temp dial position )
