Fitted rear right ABS sensor and cleared 3 amigo's on the dash.
Makes me a very happy lad haha! :D

Now just to get my new keyfob encoded so I can get in the boot!
I don't suppose anyone in the Manchester area has the software for doing my keyfob?

Only one I know who does it for sure is near me and charges £30.

only takes him 5 minutes anorl but worth it :)

I cleaned the connection to the ecu temp sensor, now my fans work again :)

i've been driving around with the heater set to hot to prevent it bubbling over for a couple of days before i had that brain wave

shame i didn't do it before i ordered a new sensor :(

i'll fit the new one anyway when it arrives

just done 150 mile round trip from blackpool to Dewsbury to pick up a brand new complete (£87) front propshat for my td4 so going to that fit shortly ..only because the tripod bearing in my old prop has collapsed and you cant buy them separate
also got a front brake caliper overhaul kit for both sides sounds to me like the brakes are sticking on a bit
never ending money pit but I love it
all the fun of freelandering

front prop now fitted and working as it should wonder whats next?

Loaded it up with a few fishing and golfing accessories for a few days away with my son....

And treated it to a 800KM trip to the high country in winter...

The old L Series performed magnificently (again) without any hickups or troubles with morning starts down to -6 degrees. Let my son do some of the driving, he's on his first car a Rover 220 Tomcat, and by the time he'd gone 20 yards he summed the Freelander up as "sluggish"! He drove from Otematata to Twizel and leaving Ote there's a bit of a climb - so words of wisdom from dad at the bottom of the hill "I think you'll need to leave it a bit longer to change up", then 1/2 way up "You'll need to change down a bit sooner". Then once over the climb and into the twisty bits "I think you need to drop some speed for these corners"! Rather different characters Freelanders & Tomcats.

Couple of pics of the area on http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f37/buckys-hunting-shooting-fishing-fred-176702-44.html#post3175488

Spent hours removing the stuff that was not for sale with the car - then the "buyer" once again came up with an excuse not to collect. It's been a month of excuses now. Looks like it'll be back on Ebay again soon.
