Haha ford has actually done better than chevy which gets recalls in every vehicle class they have.

To be honest, I stay AWAY from ANY American made vehicles! Chevy, Ford, Harley.......no difference. I have my ranch truck that was made by GM, and that's the only American thing I own. I owned Hummers, and Jeeps too, and I got tired of the issues. "Quality control" does not exist on these shores.

British stuff has issues too, but at least it has the flair. American stuff is just BLAND. Japanese stuff lasts forever, but it's even more bland than American!

German stuff is made to maximize the profits on the back end, and most of it "engineered" by some highschoolers. I owned several MBZs (still own one), BMWs (still have one), and three Porsches. Porsche, MBZ, and BMW USED to be the best cars on the planet, but no more!

"Italian jobs" are too tight for me (I'm 6'3" 190lb). Drove the friend's Gallardo the other day, and my knees were on my chin (or just about,....VERY uncomfortable!)! Owned few FIATs when I lived in Europe (124, and "Milletrecento"), and they are JUNK. Don't even mention French cars (owned Citroen GS Palace, and Renault 4 in Europe).

So here I am. Stuck on Brit cars, and liking it. Had three Jags, two Mini Coopers (one in England, and one here), and two LRs.

Disclaimer: These are MY opinions, and yours may very well be different.

Only Gm stuff is my 1970 C10. Love that thing more than my freelander. It last forever and never gives problems. And parts are penny cheap and dont cost me a weeks meal :)

Spent a day doing some bits and pieces on the interior.
I can't stand the teal (?) green colour of my interior plastics, couple of hours and a tin of black spray paint and we're looking much tidier.
Sprayed the grab handles, door handle inserts and speaker grills.

Sprayed up the air vents and the part of the centre console around the heater dials.

Am in the process of putting together a Raspberry Pi car PC. GPS, OBD logging, media centre. Eventually controlled from a stalk on the steering wheel to flip between modes and between tracks etc. Just got it thrown in for the moment, wired to the space under the grab handle (where some models have a passenger air bag).
