What have you done to your Freelander today

It's quite boring around here; only large puddles to play with, though they can soak the whole car ( or those around it.)

when i go through even a small puddle it just seems to jump straight over my Freebie

Tell me about it!! The bonnet has come off surprisingly well considering the size and weight of the offending section that landed on it. It hit with enough force to break a 2 foot length of the end of the trunk.
Looks like a replacement bonnet will be needed in the spring.

Well, after going through lots of deep local floods that scared off BMW X-****e drivers and pickups with dead cars in the middle, I got home to find the outer skin of my rear box had been ripped back and was pointing down at the floor. So got under it in a dry 5 minutes with the cutter and grinder to tidy it up and remove the offending flap. Then went out and used it as a pickup to gather the massive logs coming off a tree down the road that fell down. So far have enough wood for a few weeks and will get more over the next few days. Sorted...


When the lads at work were talking about their Xmas dinners, I replied that I hadn't ran mine over yet... well last night that nearly changed as I nearly bagged a cow. Brakes work fine now after adjusting the rear shoes a week ago. Thankfully...

Thanks. Sods law realy. I'd been in the process of removing the tree in the autumn as it's broken bows before, last time it landed on my MG but caused no damage. I just didn't have the time to finish the job this year.
I'm going to look for a good bonnet in the same Oslo blue for ease.

Had a very sideways moment on a slippery roundabout, the kind where you're looking out the side window with a full rotation of opposite lock...
Hope that isn't a sign that these AT's are going to be a bit crap during the winter

Yeah I know that, to be honest though it was more just a very frosty road...when I had my Scorpion STR's on last winter they seemed very sure footed on slippery roads. But I went around 2 slippery bends today, the first I had massive understeer and the next one I had massive oversteer....still had it with the old tyres on but not to the same extent, although it was very progressive and didn't just snap out on me

i had strs on too


i drive slightly different now, although she hasn't stepped out on me, i have noticed going wider through corners due to the higher profile ratio.
The hardness of the rubber also makes wet grip at speed not so sure footed.

off road and in deep mud/snow they will be ace and not wear out as quick as the road tyres

Doesent seem to matter what day it is,

On the ATS tyre subject, I had the same slipping wide on a roundabout the other
morning, it was frosty, but when the Audi behind me slid out and hit the kerb, I
realised that the ATS tyres were not so bad..
Frost is ice and bloody slippery as well.

I've done a lot of Dad's Taxi lately. Collecting eldest daughter from work in the floods the other day.

Today I attempted to visit the family. The M25 was just a great big car park. Give up and came home and had a relaxing time instead.

No issues with my tyres on slippery surfaces. Winter tyres are close to glue recommended. Pretty good on snow and mud as well.

Bugger all today, the rain's weshing it a bit now, yesterday, tried to use the power of the sun to dry a gallon of water up from the rear ply out failed...

lol, there's lots of things we miss after moving over from South Croydon 10 years ago - but the orbital car park (in fact traffic full stop) is not 1 of them
