Just in the process of changing the transfer box over from a 1.4:1 to a 1.2:1 on my 110.

popped in for some chocolate...and a quick browse on here ;)



1.2 box now in and running... wish i'd done it ags ago. the 110 drives lovely now. :D:D
 
front radius arm bushes track rod ends panhard rod bushes and front shocks. then wasted an hour going round about 12 tyre fitting places trying to get it tracked.theyre just a shower of nobs never heard as many lame excuses why they couldnt do it in my life

Today was grinding and prepping the steelwork for primer and sanding down the filler I'd put on the interior:

took her for a burn around the royal horse guards polo fields after striking the distro for the cartier marquee... twas great fun.
 
today i have primed painted and finished the roof and tailgate door in a delightful forest green, tomorrow full body respray from a 24yrold brown to a lush green. DIY garage job of course! :)
 
I've just given my front bumper a coat of hammerit. I'm just about to put the number plate back - when I saw the pictures in the post above. The number plate is in the recess above and behind the bumber. I've tried this on mine and its partly obscure by the grill.

Which is best on the bumper or as per the red'un above?
 
Ok, today was a big day getting tools and other things for the overseas trip.

I've managed to install the custom spring for giving the bonnet extra lift.
I had to drill a hole in the frame and get a washer in. It wasn't easy, so I got the grill out of the way and managed to get my hand in. Spring washer fell out during the struggle and went on with just the flat washer then the bolt. The spring sits in the hole pretty nicely though :)

This weld might look pretty to the eye but it fractured when the weight was put on it!

The other side held though. I might have to get the other side rewelded though.

The bonnet closes but the release catch was in the way so I trimmed the metal press plate a bit with tin snips and wrapped it in tape.

The spring doesn't catch now and when I drop the bonnet it closes nicely to the release catch but no further. So as it's just a bit too big, I'll be looking to cut the spring down a coil or two later.

Reconditioned the bits of scrap that hold me headlamps in.:rolleyes:
