Whoops.

Replaced the thermostat, fitted a top hose, and a new slave cylinder. My Disco now drives along without the TEMP WARNING coming up on the Nanocom, and the ECU reducing the power... Instead of running at 94c she sits between 86 and 89, and the radiators is getting slightly warmer. I did test the old unit, and it would only open up with boiling water, direct from the kettle. I suspect it was way out of the 88c opening temp required.

Finally did a long run, and the gearbox is warming up, which causes the gearstick to stiffen up... Another issue to add to an ever growing list.

Towed this lil 90 to a caravan and vintage show after it broke down on the A49 - the best place to pull over!

Dizzie just out of shot unfortunately!

Gotta do some stuff to it he says!

A new Lift pump and a valve adjustment isn't what I had in mind while it was raining! Grr.

Not done anything for a bit but have the following planned.

Split charge system
Rear power panel, similar to the one below
Possibly more lights on roof
Switch panel for existing lights
Thinking of a rear drawer/storage system

Things so far are

Prospeed rack, rear ladder, sliders with step inserts, front plate, compressor guard. Lights are Lightforce ROK 20 on the rear ladder, Lazer Linear 18 Elite on the roof and a pair of Lazer Triple R-750’s integrated into the grill.

Photo of the day I picked it up and how it looks now plus rear power panel.

Very nice indeed

I fitted the panel at the bottom instead of the rear boot style panel

Yeah seen those panels. Unfortunately you can’t get one for a D4 with the rotary shift. Or if you can I’ve just not seen them. Also going to make a similar version of this cupeled with the split charge. Will mount an Anderson connector somewhere so I can just plug the panel in.

Awesome solar set up u have there , need to make some and sell em, ;)

No I haven’t seen panels for the D4

Must admit know for aux sockets in the D3 I’ve seen that the look has to be cut into , finally managed to find a plug in loom so didn’t have to touch it, took month of Sunday’s carefully drilling the blank on the heater controls , think it blends in quite well

Trouble with landies , There so additive lol

Know what you mean. Their like a box of pringles. Once you pop you just can’t stop. Will see how it goes with the boxes but it would be nice to sell a few

Yeah seen them. They are from Landrover Passion an Italian firm I believe. Think they are working on ones for right handed vehicles.

For what I’m thinking I need 4 switches. One for the lights in the grill, one for the roof light/lights, one for the rear work light and one for some amber strobes I’ll probably fit. These will be used mainly when on marshalling duties. You can just see the beacon on the roof. Hopping to change this for some discrete strobes
