Other what have u done on ur disco today

Connected the Nanocom to check for any new faults, none recorded
Took it for a fast drive as well to check all the fueling values and it's all good.

Sat and wondered "just how much is this new toy going to cost" and sat chuckling to myself....

Nearside indicator repeater fell out today. Double sided sticky temp fix whilst I order a pair. Spring pinged off of the coin tray as well. No idea where that went, probably inside the transmission tunnel trim. KFC tea keeps upping the cabin temp whenever i pick the cup up or put it back in cup holder. You have to love these motors.

Nope not anymore

Found a rust hole!!!!!!!

Ground it round with the dremel, Kurusted it 4 coats

And slapped Seam sealer on it




Can't see it!


Oh and was rung by sister to say my Nephew was "very Ill" so in the car I shot off, setting fire to the brakes lol etc

Arrived at the surgery almost ploughing through the front door.

Ran in, and he was fine'ish Turns out he has very bad Asthma and had an attack.

He's been given steroids and the lark.

Hopefully it won't happen again, apparently it was a mixture of allergies and the heat. he's only barely 1, poor sod.

Anyway he's all good.

Me wittering on eh?!

I just left it to allow the brakes to cool down as I did have some brake fade IE brakes on fire.

Parked it and god some lunch with me Sis.

That's a relief, poor little soul. Fingers crossed this will the one and only attack.

Just wished to say great news the little one is ok, always so scary , plus always nice to be able to at least get it off ur chest

Good news my friend , oh and good job with the disco, lol , those dremels are a godsend and so handy , was invaluable when I had to cut off my old drop links

The Dremel is very good, the hole wasn't that big so a good dollop of SS worked

For now lol

@Henry_b , will a nice little fan help him keep cool , just an idea unless you’ve already got one

Funnily enough I did pop to B&M and buy a Fan..

'Tis a large 6ft tall with a 3ft wide blade/fan so it should throw some good wind to keep their house cool'ish.

Just gotta run it down to her.

Will prolly do it tonight.

The Ice Cold Air con in the Disco did help as the inside gets freezing so he was happy with that, just drove around while he calmed down lol

Ur very welcome buddy , always shuck a shock and chuffed like all of us are that’s he's now fine, pheeeew, u can breath again now , ur always amongst friends here,

my son when he was little was sitting on the sofa and just froze, his eyes went into the back of his head, was a mini seizure and never had one again, but by Christ I was faster than an ambulance getting him the hospital that’s for sure

Indeed and can so many little bits for the dremel

Great and indeed with him getting hot the fan should calm him and allow him to rest

Revved the chackers off it! lol

Was that fast for him too.

Apparently he was wheezing and panting so much he almost deflated his lungs!

Just home from delivering a few things.

Had a 2007 D3 shoot past me on a straight bit.

Damn.

S mode and some Throttle saw him in my sights.
Managed to keep up, just!

Didn't get past though lol

Lol, was u surprised then , as must admit for such a heavy lump they can shift

Good job It wasn’t a D3 4,4 V8 , or a D4 ,lol

Have u had chance to drive a D3 yet , go down to a garage who has one for sale and pretend ur interested and get a test drive

Would be interesting for ur comparison

I have a Mate who has one, 2006 D3 2.7 might snag the keys for a test drive

The D2 is a good tow cow though and being simple it's rather cheap to maintain!

My next LR would prolly be a V8 Equipped D3 or I seriously invest in my current motor and drop in a V8.

I have a V8 short engine, waiting.
But the old girl if I'm going that deep will need a new chassis as this one is a tad too scabby.

So What to do.

And no the Derv swap isn't to future proof, derv still has a few years in it, just miss the V8 rumble of my P38 and want to have it in my Simpler D2 lol.

Gah! P38 needs to get going to, poor thing is gonna be one with the earth if i don't do something lol.

Sounds a good plan and would be really interesting of what u thought between them

Now ur talking a nice V8 D3 , burble on them is awesome , would be nice in LPG I suppose to make it cheaper to run

Not many D3 V8s around to be honest

Could always buy a D3 that has a blown V8 engine , think u can then pick them up for under £1500-2k

Take the body off and treat the chassis, then a lot easier for the engine swap with the body off

Shame I’m not closer as would have certainly helped u where I could on the weekends, would be an awesome project

Certainly wouldn't be put off by the prospect of a Blown V8 D3 if you can find one.

A nice one was on Ebay a few months ago if i had the cash she would be on my drive now!
