When do you find out that it's ̶f̶a̶i̶l̶e̶d̶ passed? ;)

This evening when it comes back, also getting all the oils, filters, fuel filter changed , so that then just leaves me with the auto box to do, trust the mechanic but doesn’t like touching auto boxes which I respect him saying

So will see if I can do it myself , it’s getting underneath the disco that’s the issue

Just checked online, drum roll , lol

@Shimsteriom , Yah, it passed , just got to fit new front brake hoses, all the rest I’ve done ,to be on the cautious side I won’t drive it until I’ve done them

Can also see the massive mileage I’ve done since last year , lol

Am well pleased

Think genuine hoses are around £40 each

Found the breather from the front diff had been rubbing on the swing arm and worn through. Rather than do a full replacement I decided to create a more robust solution. Micrometers showed the pipe to have an external diameter of 6mm, so I ordered some red silicone hose with an internal diameter of 6mm and an external one of 8mm. I trimmed the ends of the original breather, smeared silicone gasket over about 5cm either side and then (with some effort) slid the silicone hose over the two ends joining them together with about 30cm overlap either side to give more protection, and routing clear of any moving parts. I found the old black pipe very inconspicuous, so the red will make it much more obvious if there is damage.

Thks buddy , indeed , but after having surgeries i couldn’t do anything for months

Garage today are also doing all the oils and filters, inc fuel filter , mechanic who I trust doesn’t like touching auto boxes so I’ll have to do that

Know it’s abit of an overkill but always change the oils, filters every year regardless of mileage and always use good quality bits

Thought u would as well, would rather spend a few hundred quid every year than just leaving them

Many Thks, better than what it was as I can at least walk now, just got to be extra careful now as I’ve got to get the front wheels off to do the brake hoses and do the ATF oil

Yep oil is cheaper than a gearbox or an engine ;)

I'd take your good time with those wheels they weigh a fair bit and you don't wanna pull ya back out again! ;)

Same for the gearbox do it slowly, no need to rush ;)
