Me again,

Mi old starter motor is now in bits and all cleaned up. There are some areas that the haynes manual doesn't cover, such as the drive assembly. As mine is in bits, I wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction of LUCAS (as it's the early LUCAS M45G starter motor) and thus to some detailed exploded diagrams/assembly instructions for said part?

I would like to have a go at refurbing it. The lectrical side seems fine, it's the mechanical side that needs some new bits.

Ta, again,

A very keen DIY mekanik.

(Now, if it were kitchens or bathrooms I wouldn't need to ask)

lucasvarity was bought by trw a few yrs ago.
then bf goodrich bought trw!

maybe quicker and cheaper to get a used starter and make one good one?
it was used on quite a few cars.

Thanks for that info, I have already put a s/h starter on the Landy. I've also just emailed TRW to see of they have drawings, we shall seee.
