Anyone know anything about D3 engine type i.e. common rail?unit injector?Does it have a DMF(emissions)fitted.
Thinking about upgrading my bio vehicle-have had no issue what so ever with the TD5 on biodiesel for the last year, and it has just about paid for itself in fuel savings.
Any idea on TDV6 mpg?
Thanks as always for any input

TD6 if you search is pretty economical, it's common rail, if manual it has a DMF, prone to eating turbo's and I believe it's a body off job to fix.
Not sure it will take kindly to biodiesel, a lot of common rail stuff doesn't like it, maybe someone will come back with experience. I assume you are talking about proper refined bio diesel not straight veg oil?

Do you mean DPF as in diesel particulate filter? Or DMF as in dual flywheel?

I mean DPF sorry should have got the terminology correct.
DPF and biodiesel are a big problem,as bio being less volatile than derv does not always ignite on the secondary injection cycle and bore washing can occurr, diluting sump oil-guess I will have to have a rethink
