What did you do with your Range Rover today

Replaced the pump connector in my EAS box today with a proper one. The old one was a bit burnt, so I've been running with 3 spade connectors for the last year & a bit !!

Fought this bastid for far too long again.
Was hoping to do both sides today but only got drivers side done.
Rear wiper motor is turning into a nightmare. The magnet won't fit in place meant for it as its too big. Tried to put it in the lathe and the Jaws crushed it so ended up with a sliver of magnet glued in. Then the motor wouldn't run at all so gave up. Next thing, water pouring out all over the boot even though ignition off and motor not going or stalk being on.
Later in the day, heard wiper motor spring into life and now seems to be working. Don't know if it parks correctly yet though.
I knew there was a reason I got rid of the last one.........

Today, I just gave it a good clean inside, hope for a warm weekend might wax it for winter protection, what have you been up to?
Yesterday we finally managed to replace the drivers control pack for windows and locking, unfortunately it doesn't 'communicate' with N/S passenger mirror, but I can live with all windows and doors working AND the courtesy lowering button works again once more....wish all the bells and whistles worked but at least this way there is less to go wrong!
 
Yes but the cap on the Rangie is different and has to hold pressure.

Had a play this morning and 2 nails in a cup of coolant work well with a buzzer except it buzzes when there's coolant rather than a lack. So, just need to reverse that and a relay should do that. I'm even wondering if there's a spare bulb in the instrument cluster, maybe one used for the v8 but not on the oil burner!

Thinking about it, I only want to know when coolant is in there so should be able to feed 2 screws in from the top of the tank. I'm building up the courage to have a go with the one on the scrapper.
A bmw e30 bottle is the same with a level sensor built in,
You could actually use a vw bottle too,
I use a p38/d2 bottle on my bmw skid car to do away with the tank that sits with the rad but have lost the coolant level light,

Maybe wire into the High Temp light in the temp gauge ? One side has 12V, so would only require the other grounded.

I had a search on eBay for BMW e30 coolant cap but they all look similar to the Rangie one?

Is the level indicator built into the cap or the expansion tank itself like the VW?

Looks like many of the eBay tanks don't have the sensor orifice.

This one does have the sensor. . . . but no idea if it would fit a P38 ? There's new tanks with the correct hole on eBay & amazon for around £40. Sensors appear to be about £12-£15.

That used one doesn't seem to have the right shape at the bottom? Good to see where the sensor goes though, I can probably tap through there.

The new tank in your link looks much thinner plastic. You wonder how long it would last! I assume the sensor itself is just two bits of metal with the exposed parts at the min level and a bit below that for the other one.
