What did you do with your Range Rover today

Uncovered him, took off the battery charger and dehumidifier. Started first turn of the key, steady running with no throttle needed.
Took him out for a short jaunt, about 8 miles. Gears and drive smooth, forgot the GPS speedometer so don't know if the speedo was playing up.
Revved him to the limiter through 2 gears from the lights when hot, smooth and steady all the way.
Got home and parked him. Hot restart after 20 seconds was faultless, as was the 20 minute starting check.
Relay swap appears to have made him well again.
Just an interior mirror to sort and he can go for his MOT that is due by mid December.

Its done all the important stuff taking my skid car back and forward too track and being loaded with wheels and iv just realised its give or take a year iv had it so mot will be due soon, il have to ring round and just chuck it in and pray for a pass as i haven't got time to look over it,

Can confirm they are compatible, drivers seatbelt stalk decided it wasn't going to let me wear my seatbelt, no matter what I tried it wouldn't clip in. Took it off after work and swapped it with the passenger side one, you just got to change the tabbed washer at the bottom which is only held on with a fibre washer. Took the knackered one apart and the spring fell out in several bits, got to find one that will fit now. Looked at replacements and the want £40 plus for them😱, sod that. I'll find a spring.

Stalk /mount may be different but I think from the look that all buckles and latches are pretty much the same everywhere. So you may get lucky with mechanism and spring from any car?

done some more digging on the front suspension.. i'm not sure that camber isnt normally something that needs to be changed, more likely (despite having MOT last week) theres a bush that is worn/seized etc

Had a bit of free time planned to go upto unit and see whats needed for mot,
But instead if found why my heated windscreen doesn't work connectors torn off windscreen which doesn't suprise me as who i got the motor off had the windscreen put in from his tdv8 which unsurprisingly blew the turbos and took the engine with it,
On the plus side i got my heated steering wheel working again oh boy iv missed that,

Is it just me or is this guy a nob?
Full workshop so not his first rodeo..
Calipers off, can see the fronts are all manky but won't spend an hour on preventative maintenance and pull the pistons? Rather spend time repainting. If they aren't cleaned up now then they'll need it in 6 months, judging by the video.
Or am i being silly?

These days, image is so much more important than substance, you cannot see the caliper pistons when the caliper is refitted so they really don't matter

When the caliper is off, seems mad not to. Plus easier pulling and cleaning a free piston vs a seized one
But then i suppose you curse land rovers for being crap

Sprayed the pump with leak detector. Think I know where the problem is. Seems to be QA and the head... maybe. For a big engine bay, it is so cramped in here.

Been driving sons supercharged sport around again I could really get to like it apart from the fuel bill but he did give me his card to put some juice in

I had a drive in a friend's Jaguar F-pace SVR yesterday. Incredible piece of kit. Floor it and there's a low growl and you're forced back into your armchair as a mad-max whine builds from the front. It feels like you're doing 30 mph but the speedo whips round like a fat-man landing on the kitchen scales.
