What did you do with your Range Rover today

Range rover did very well first time iv had my car down there with this Range rover,
Wasn't anywhere near as thirsty as i was expecting which is a really nice bonus i was expecting 11-12mpg and it ended up doing 16.7, used 95L 350 mile round trip so im quite happy considering my old td6 would do 20 with same trailer and load and journey

I averaged 20.5 (3.6) last week towing the caravan (1560kg) so that's good

Blimey i don't get much more than that without a weight on!! (4.4 tdv8)

Tbf, they're that frigging heavy anyway I don't think the van makes much difference

My P38 does that sort of MPG with a trailer hooked up loaded with another P38

Exactly Actually it was an abandoned wreck I bought to renovate so now I have one RHD and one LHD and unlike your modern stuff, they rarely have anything serious wrong with them.

After fighting aliens last weekend, this weekend we had a quiet one. She is sat outside waiting for her next adventure.

Gave my 4.2sc a good hammering underneath and Waxoyl, managed to Waxoyl myself and the driveway aswell… messy stuff.
Also it’s now developed a scraping noise, sounds like something catching brake dust shield, can’t here it at speed or with windows up so not fussed, will sort it when I refresh brakes as it needs new rears so will do the fronts the week after, hopefully that will cure the noise.

Most of it was dual carriageway, upto speed no stopping slowing speeding up,
Trailers 855kgs
Cars 1200kgs with fuel in,
600kgs of wheels estimated twenty 17s with tyres and tools,
2 passangers,

Spent half a couple hours wet sanding and buffing all the bird poo stains off the bonnet on my LSE project. As well as stripping and painting the front bumper and getting all the lights working

Finally making time to replace the bottom ball joint on the 38. So far the wheel nut shrouds have defeated me and the ABS sensor won’t let go. I suspected this job would be a bastid prolly why I have tackled every other job to avoid this, good job I have a sense of humour. Anyway, the thing is out of MOT and I need it back on the road for the shooting season. More updates later.

i really struggled with the ABS sensor, i didnt realise at the time but you can see where the base protrudes, more obvious when shiny and new, but maybe you can lever it
get plenty of diesel/ATF in there to soak in and loosen

Cheers @kermit_rr i have got it out but phoobared it in doing so. New one on order. The job is fighting back. Today was strip back ready for the new parts. Got all the bolts out (albeit rusted in) and now the hub won’t come away from the yolk. Is there a top tip? I suspected a blow with a hammer would crack the seal but no!

Also meant to say I’ve been soaking all the nuts and bolts for a fortnight prior

I grind a little V at the bosses with a 1mm cutting disc and whack a thin chisel in on opposite sides in rotation. It doesn't affect the mating surfaces
