Absolutely. All old minis are stupid money now. We saw a dealer trying to sell a Mini van for 22k the other day. Not even very original, had horrible wide wheels, and a Metro engine. The vans were terrible to work on, because the grille was fixed, so very difficult engine bay access.

fired her up and let run to temp to check the rpm. Looks like the timing could be adjusted and the belts have come slack.

Had it since 86 was my first car after I pass me test , not mint buy any standards but that means I can sod around in it and not worry apart from the fuel cost it does have a very big thirst makes a rrv8 look good

My first car was a bloody lada
My second was a series 2a

Went for a good run today, it got bored of tapping after a while so fingers crossed on that one!
Selected access height after switching off and the back dropped first then the front. I don't care unless i should be worried?

Didn't rust but the wood went. He replaced it and wrote a book on how to do it. Don't think he ever published it though so I have the only cooy.

Had to be able to take all the band kit. Steering was very lively. Needed a bigger lump though.

Yes, this is all done by hand. Guess I could scan it.

Drawings can be copied onto CAD, handwriting put into text, would be nice legacy for him.

In tank fuel sender started reading funny so changed both of them and the expansion tank after 4 month of random low coolant messages.

Get some pressure on it then some heat by any way possible, heat gun if no gas, had to do that on my p38 and put the new ones in the freezer over night that thou or two they shrink by could make a difference getting new ones in. Oh and hit side of casting when hot and under pressure.

Yer already got them in will give them a blast with blow torch again in the morning cheers
