What did you do with your Range Rover today

Sweet - couldn't help noticing the E energy rating, could this have a greater effect on the "Broke Again" situation further down the road so to speak?
Treated the family MPV to a full set of Michelin CrossClimate with a B rating. After all, when you drive a 23mpg car you need to make savings. Not sure there's any point in trying to save on the RR. We're getting 17mpg round town but what a joy to drive, if only I can get the keys from Mrs Tricky.

Wonder how much difference it makes and at what speed? The ATs are ever so slightly more noisy (noise = wasted energy) and maybe heavier with all that tread? But in the real world is it 0.1mpg difference or what?

Apparently, Google tells me it's officially 7.5% difference between an a rated tyre and a g rated tyre. So probably about 1mpg on a range rover between the best and the worst at most.
Incidentally, yes, noise is wasted energy but it doesn't take much energy to make a lot of noise. Look at how small the wires are to speakers and how much noise they can produce.
 
After leaving the L322 for around 3 weeks with the MOT issue I've noticed that when I lock and unlock the car the indicators no longer flash? Car starts fine with no hesitation, also noticed that when the key goes in the ignition it is sometimes a bit awkward to turn almost as if it doesn't quite recognise the key?? Is it likely a key fob battery low or car battery perhaps?
 
fan belt snapped, orered new and fitted. 20 miles down motorway,snapped again! somethings wrong somewhere. Recovered in 3 hours by RAC (bunch of idiots) sent transit for suspended tow, told them to go away. Will find problem tomorrow

Found my alternator bearing is singing at me and rumbling not good as I had it fully refurbished a while back.

It did get the better of me at times, has to be said. The Disco has been great so far & done 5k miles already. I do miss the 'character' of the old P38 though.
Are you sure it's the alternator? I found my tensioner pulley was goosed but throwing the sound to the alternator.
 
It was Nov 2014 I'm going to take the belt off and have a proper look the tensioner is pretty new but I do have one pulley wheel that's a bit wobbly the big metel one no one seems to be able to supply
 
Found the problem! some pratt, who owned the car before me didnt realise that the bracket bolts were different for a reason.he put the long bolt in the short hole and raised a stress fracture that eventually broke the bracket. all fixed now .
