What are they guarding against?.
I had a pheasant take out my headlights. I suspect light guards would've prevented it happening. But heyho, I'm not awfully struck on light guards so I just risk it.

My last one didn't have them and I wasn't looking to get them. But this one came along with them and I actually think they fit it's looks, so I've kept them. For the sake of some beer tokens and a bit of my time, I thought I would paint them and see how they turned out. Worse case would be to get rid of them and have the holes filled and sprayed by a car restorer mate of mine.
As for what the light guards are for, well not far from where I live is Crawley and it protects the lights as I wade through the inbred Zombie locals!! (cant go there again! Yey!!!)

Just fitted new clutch into the p38!!!!! Whoever thought of fixing the release fork with a couple of spring pins needs their nuts kicking to the back of their neck. Still, easier job than last time when the vm classic went in the middle of France on our way back from Spain. Parts sent out by Overlanders of Litherland and fitted by your's truly without a trolley jack. Was much stronger in those day's

Well after advice that should do my self I changed the front air springs , and as you advised took me 50 mins to do both sides, just come back from a 5hr 300mile round trip and didn't miss a beat !! New wings and 2000 spec lights next week

If you had to slam on you was too close to her car anyway. In future leave a larger gap.
