Do what I did, when my previous comp car went back and they changed the list to Ford and Vauxhalls...told them to poke it, and give me the cash allowance instead and I'll run the Range Rover daily...my pay grade offers me £405 (after tax about £310) a months, and this pays for the LPG I use....!!

No such luxury. The company car should be company van (Citroen Berlingo), that carries a full compliment of the tools and such we require, plus it stickered up so we look slightly more professional when rocking up to a clients site.

The only reason I got it is of the 4 techs in our company only 3 of us drive, one already has a van and the other guy is an apprentice so the boss didn't think it'd be right to give him a vehicle. I understand why the boss wanted me to have it, I just don't like it as much as my RR. :(

The free eas software and a cable would have been much cheaper than a suspension re-set tool and does much more including depressurizing the system before you start work. Follow the guide in the "how to" section.

Just started it to move it and it took bloody ages to rise , I think its time for a compressor rebuild :eek:
I shall test the output first mind
 
Nearly done wish I had got a liner now not in the best condition :(

I wanted to take her for a "small" test drive to shake out the cobwebs. 100 miles later I was happy everything still runs as it should. Lots of uphill sections round here and I found some good twisty steep hills to really test the low down grunt. She was fantastic. Sounded really good when on power too, I forgot I was in a derv a few times. Idle still gives it away though. :(
 
Ordered a new throttle body heater plate & Gasket kit.

On returning home of Saturday, pulled up, turned the car off to then see steam pouring our from under the bonnet.

Oh s**t!! HG failure was my first thought.

So Sunday morning I started to dig around to find out what exactly the problem was. (I didn't do it straight away on the Saturday as I had a party to attend to help the host get rid of a load of booze!!)

The cooling level was down but not dry. So I started the car to see if I could see a leak.

Basically, the front bolt holding the heater plate on had come out and water was coming out of the hole. When it happened the engine was hot and the cooling ran onto the rocker cover and manifold and just turned to steam.

So I temporarily joined the two pipes together bypassing the heater plate. Topped up the coolant and then off round the block. All good.

Rechecked level today - all still good.

So just ordered a new heater plat kit and will replace the plate and it's gasket.

PHEW!!!
 
since replacing my faulty fuel pump relay, meant to take the RR out yesterday for a run to the shops, as its not moved in over 1 month now, but the mrs has just decided she doesn't like riding it in now, as "it smells of mouse ****"!
well she was quite happy riding in it for years, when it was our only car!! gggrrrrr
do i have to fill it with air po-puri and doilies to make it worthy of a lady (and some red carpet)?

Enjoy the ability to drive your RR without a back seat driver. You can listen to your choice of music at the volume you want and no longer have to have a foreign object creasing the leather on the seat to your left ;) :)
