I agree! I've no enthusiasm today for anything so it can stay clean à short while longer..
Impressed..!! Does she still go better.?Agree, best to try everything else before forking out big bucks for pumps. (Who's got £1k to spare anyway, that's why we drive 25 year old buses)

Everything is betterer
‘Cept the gearbox plug but it’s had fresh oil.
Made all the difference, is quieter more powerful better mpg and doesn’t cut out anymore - (Once really hot summers day)
still not had to buy FIP/lift pump.

Just finished stripping the rear axle ,didnt realise that "mechanics" bolted rust back on, if it comes loose (2 x 6mm setscrews and 4 penny washers to hod on the rear disc guard. The pipework over the tank I cannot see but its not fastened to anything ,it just waves about.I wish I could take photos to put on just for the entertainment value. Are there any joints before the fuel tank? (its full) . I am thinking of running new pipes along the chassis rails,where I can see them.

I'm told there are joints at the bottom of the firewall, not seen them, I made a new joint. There are, or should be, clips holding the pipes to the floor pan above the cross member. I believe there is a difference between early and late cars.

Fuel tank usually has two connectors In front of it drivers side.

Fixed the radio, attached condenser fans, now just need to see if they come one as they should when it gets hot!

Thanks Gents I shall look for them after I have de crudded the underside applied the necessary acid wash and painted and removed those squiggly things

On the brake pipes? Not on mine. I'm sure you are looking at the fuel pipes.

They come on with gas pressure for the aircon unless you have done my mod.

Edit I thought he meant fuel pipes to get to brake lines behind tank, my bad.
