Took the plunge and removed the gearbox oil cooler radiator.

I have partially made a bracket to allow me to fit it in the space behind the passenger side shock absorber - all I need to do now is give it a proper clean, get some new hose, re-connect the electrics, fit in place, re-fill the oil... probably some other stuff...and away we go.

There are cheap clip things that go along bottom of back seats you can get too but not the sort of thing you’d want on an autobiography, they look plastic cheap crap and will break first time you sling your drunken sisters in the back.
The L405 has hooks that go under the rear parcel shelf that are similarl

Very smart - then I definitely don't have one.

Spent a few hours chasing electrical problems that I haven't been able to pin down yet. P38 2.5 DT auto 1999. So sad. Why does she hurt me so?

Started up fine. School run. Back in and internal lights all flash up at once and all go off. No power getting to anything. Checked battery voltage and it was 12.67V. Still no power to anything. Hooked up some jump leads regardless and she started up immediately. No fault codes.

She ran fine all day after that until an hour ago it happened again except this time there weren't even any keys in the ignition! I was stood next to the car and the alarm sounded just once. All lights on and off. No power to anything. Then a 5 minute wait out period (no jump leads) and I tried her again. She started first time.

I'm terribly vexed.

Sounds like water in the dash to me. Do you have dehumidifier packs? I always have one in the glove box for fuses and another in the rear protecting the Bluetooth, DVD and Sat Nav. It's a mystery how it gets in but it gets in. We've had a lot of rain in York area so expecting to be drying out over the weekend. Joy.
Tricky.

New battery ;)
The exhaust blow has also been "Bodged" ;) so it doesn't blow ;)

Unfortunately the battery is almost brand new as it is and holds it's charge. I'm thinking earthing issue or loose battery connection (I pinched up the positive terminal after the second instance and so will see if that cures it).

Sounds like a wet BECM, is the carpet and underlay in the drivers footwell dry?
