What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had mine since Saturday, took it to garage today after my “suspension fault” within 15 seconds of driving off with it followed by black smoke within the hour followed by “engine system fault” and limp mode twice by Sunday. Thoroughly enjoyed the 40 mile trip which only used about £23.75 worth of diesel and was cheered by the collection of “free” cd’s left by the previous owner in his rush to run off with the cash, fav of which is the entire Neil Diamond collection. Was blasting a bit of Neil when a fellow commuter signalled to roll down the window to tell me there was loud squealing which was probably just a brake calliper and not a big job, I thanked him and then turned Neil back up full blast and had a sort of hysterical chuckle to myself. 34 faults cleared by garage and awaiting a new air compressor for f*cked suspension. Happy days still love it though ❤️

Which garage are you using? If it's not Gibson's , make it so ;)

To take the man for a robust test drive? :rolleyes:o_O

If your battery is slightly weak it will throw up phantom codes. Likely if your bus has been standing a little while. Trickle charger may be good idea in long run.
Hahaha no although as he can fix my bus that’s not a bad idea....that sounds possible re battery actually, it’s only done 100 miles since MOT in June and 2000 miles in about 3 years, is it worth having it changed??

is it worth having it changed??
Not if it only needs a top up. Does dad have a battery charger?
They are funny though - can’t just disconnect battery like a normal car - there’s a procedure specific to your model.

There is a ‘drop test’ to see if your battery is capable. Not hard or few quid at the local Halfrauds if in doubt
You can look up a lot of what we mention in the searchbar there’s loads in there so worth getting used on how to use it ;)

We are all here if you get lost

Brill thanks so much, will research that later! Can see this is going to be like having another child!

Went out as far as the barn in me P38..

Parked her up,..

And a little voice said..

"check the compressor" - It was fookin boiling hot! burnt me hand when i grabbed it!

Left it to cool.

Prolly done that since i got it as ive never taken the lid off lol

No leaks.

She can sit without a battery for over 3 weeks and she's still dead level.

so eh..

Tits a mystery!

You got pressure to keep it up, that’s main/1st thing.

When compressor is running take the exhaust filter off and feel if it’s pumping out air with your finger - could mean diaphragm in valve block is blocked up or split. Make sure inlet is clear too
