I’m having no luck trying to run lift pump for fuel delivery. Am I doing something wrong? No fuel from pin5 relay12, zero delivery when glow lights come on either :confused:
Beginning to think when PO said don’t let tank go down, it’s because there is no pump knowing him, or it’s not operating?

I had bubbles form when my spill off pipes were leaking, and if you can't run the tank down, 100% in tank pump is kaput, and you're relying on gravity to deliver fuel.

In tank pick up is lower than the FIP & Filter so there is no gravity feed. The FIP can pull fuel through but struggles when the tank level is low.
Ah, I just figured the weight of your fuel assisted. Either way, he'll want to get that fixed.

Datatek is correct, as are you in a way. It’s got to be the pump. Now that NRV is out I have zero air in pipe for first time.
No matter what I try (put cable from pin5 on relay to positive on battery/put glows on) I can’t get lift pump to run :mad::(
When I cut the clear pipe I didn’t spill a drop! As the air entered and the diesel in the pipes drained into filter/FIP. Was worried how I would bleed FIP with no lift pump but she started first turn!?:confused: And you could actually see the FIP suck the fuel and 8”air bubble through

Problem is after good run if you brake hard or drop revs down sharply she cuts out. Brake slowly to ease revs you can let off fine. I’m hoping this is due to EDC telling FIP lose demand for fuel so it stops pulling it through? No point starting a thread, answer is simple new lift pump, if that don’t work New FIP, nanocom would help.

But if lift ump only works on glow anyway what difference will it make having one or not? Quantity servo losing contact is likely
My own worst enemy :oops::(

Not actually as dark as that looks.... But still, and it's only a few months old....

Replaced my parking brake shoes yesturday looking for a mystery intermitent grinding........they needed doing but the cause of my mystery noise was rusty discs where the brake disc meets the back plate and the inner edge where it meets the hand brake shoe.
New discs today all done.

Once put blue in mine as per motor factors stated recommendation. Only needed a new engine 2mths later as head and everything else blew whilst going down M1

Got the top of the engine mostly done today and the airbag(srs) fault fixed! Just the air filters. Ignition coils and the top coolant hoses and should be good for The Grand Startup
Just need to figure out how to bleed the bottom half of the thermostat housing as there is no bless thru hole and i don't have the tech to be able to make one

phase one of the gearbox oil change... A bit darker than I'd of liked, but she's done 30.000 in the last two years and a run to Spain on Thursday, (bank holiday for us over here) then Ill drop the oil again along with the filter and hopefully another 30.000mls..... it's dark in the jar but when on white paper very little debris ....
