What did you do with your Range Rover today

Correct. There's a rolling code that increments each time you use the key. So if you have 2 key "1"s and 1 is incremented and 1 isn't then you have to synch the one that isn't next time you try to use it. Great as a backup key though.

Thanks to both of you nothing major to worry about then

Fitted rear air bags and drag link. I also fitted new diesel spill pipes, just as well I had to remove the inlet manifold. There were two nuts missing and the wire from number 4 injector was trapped between the inlet manifold and the head. The eedjit who had worked on the P38 before me wants :fighting:

Had my mate round last night to fix the electric windows!! His last words before leaving were " That's the problem sorted mate" after a peaceful sleep and 5 snoozes later I got up went outside in torrential rain only for both front windows to open fully when I started my jeep!!! The switches didn't work and had to drive to work with rain swooshing through the car!! I wasn't impressed!! haha

How hard was it to do, its on my list, mind you the drawing pins are doing a grand job.

and fitted, about 4 hours simple job yes went beige its not purfect but boy has it made a big difference

That looks very good to me

the fibre glass liner had a few scars in it i shoulda dealt with and there is the odd imperfection around the handles but overall not to bad for a first go

used the camera this time instead of the tablet

Really need to sort my transfer box. Almost impossible to get up really steep gradients now..and pull off hard just produces a lot of uncomfortable noise.

Started on replacing the power steering and oil cooler pipes.

Got off to a slow start, removing the plastic cover under the steering pump, had a siezed screw which was a bugger to get out due to the track rod / steering damper being in the way. Eventually ground the head off with a die grinder before Senior Management informed me we were going shopping.

Disconnected the power steering reservoir so it looked liked I'd at least accomplished something before I downed tools for the day!

Is that proper fluffy stuff? Link to where you got it from? What is it? 3mm foam backed brushed nylon? Or did you go the wool route?

Auto Upholstery Wholesaler - Car Trimming Supplies & Material Sales.

Just look up there RR kits I'm very impressed with the new liner material I went for the beige it looks pretty dam good comes with 3 cans of heat resistant spray glue, I emailed a couple of times for samples I really fancied the suede leather in beige but the wife said it was almost white so decided to keep it pretty much standard and it matches my light stone leather seats.

OK. That quoting experience was new. Bit clunky but think I've got it. Maybe there's a short-cut?

Anyway, sample ordered and received!

Today the l322 got and engine oil change, spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter
Auto gearbox flush


then did the filter and filled with fresh oil
Magnets don't look at all bad


after a clean

Then went on to do the transfer box and sort out a sticky calliper
Diffs to do later when I get the oil

Fitted new viscous fan on 2.5 diesel. easy job considering took me about 2 hours. much improved cooling, usually ran at 12 o clock position now at between 10 and 11 o clock position.2 door locks ordered .
