new fusebox in. Back in my rangie woooooop. No hevac book symbol no more stink. No more alarm or airbag fault fair to say im chuffed
 
yep think that the way to go, i get no over heating issues i did replace the water pump and check the stat not long after i got it all was good the water pump was however a **** part one ( i didnt know any better at the time) but the pump seems to be working just fine i did a test on it im gonna go get my laser thermo gun from my mate and check the rad all over for hot n cold spots just to be sure. if the problem persists i know i will have to pull the heads to prove or disprov hg failure or liner isssue


think im getting some where with this at last iv discounted hg failure after doing a sniff test not even going to consider slipped liner etc no real symptoms of that just leaking coolant from hose connections.

i have massively under estimated the poor quality of the **** part top hose T connector and hoses plus the constant pressure hose clips used, having replaced these 1 at a time my cooling system seems to be finnnally water tight no coolant lose for a couple of days after replaceing the said clip with decent hose clips.

i recently replaced this top T piece with an aluminium one which was great but the smaller long hose to the stat gave out and split i will now be returning to this set up once i find a decent 90 degree 25mm to 22 mm connector.
 
I sorted the locked passenger door.
A search on here made me suspect the superlock motor. However using rovacom I could hear all the motors operating to no avail. This led me to suspect the door handle.
I managed to remove it by opening the rear pass door which gives access to the screw which releases the handle.
With this out I found that the red plastic end of the actuating rod was loose as the threads had corroded. I did a bodge with a hose clip until I can get some new ones if available. I tried bits from my donor but they had also corroded. Its probably a common problem with water regularly running down the threads. Any ideas what the part no. is?

My P38 failed it's MOT this morning. Not much needing done.

Driver seat insecure...now fixed. Was gonna offer it counselling :D
Front calipers seizing up. Will do that Friday pm.
Headlights a bit squiffy, don't know if that means re-alignment.
Couple of front brake pipes.
Advisory's
Slight oil leak at the rear hub. Is that a gasket or rubber seal?
Slight play on the drag link (ball joint) Might just replace that.

Not too bad I thought.
 
Changed O rings on engine oil cooler pipes, When reassembling, noticed that the steady bracket was 8mm out of line(pulling the pipes out of line,and putting the O rings under load) added packer to prevent further problems.

Not only does it put O rings under load but the flexible pipe and eventually breaks it and you lose all your trans fluid

Just had a quick wash at work while it was quiet and wished I hadn't as I noticed some $%^& has scratched the entire length of the passenger front door. Looks bumper height to me. Hoping to polish out at the weekend
 
Found great place to play in it. then got very stuck a little bit. Bellyed upto lights in soft ground haha. still a jcb lifted it and a pallet under each wheel then towed it out
 
Today I decided to write my P38 off! :-(

After fitting a new rebuilt engine, new gearbox, four new tyres and exhaust. Not to mention re-plumbing the airsuspension! I spent more on it than it is worth and will only get enough back to buy a Freelander!

At least the other driver and I are okay. Worse thing is, it was my fault........
