All of this shin and bone talk reminds me,

Just before Christmas 2012 I caught my elbow on the bedside cabinet as I was putting my magazine down - got it right on the funny bone!

After putting up with the pain and not being able to lift anything of any weight with that arm I to the quacks. He said I had bruised the bone in my elbow and it might take 9 or 10 months to heal properly.

18 month on and sometimes I can still feel it.

I hope your shin does better than that.

I kid thee not, and I presume other people are the same, but my shins aren't flat - they're bumpy. I can only presume this is from all the bashing and bumping they got when I was younger (well, and now) so they've become more of a wavy bone than a straight one!

Had to cancel the MoT Test. Took her for a shake down over the moors. Radiator split, recovered to a garage but I am paranoid of HGF. :(

Changed gearbox oil, didn't do filter as just gona use this oil as a flush then do filter in a month or two with fresh oil and some of that Lucas gearbox additive.

was thinking about doing the same but only got the axles, transfer box and nipples all greased up before i ran out of time will have to wait a week or so now for my next day off, what oil did you put in your auto box ?

Scabbed off my outer sills and gave them a couple of coats of paint and fixed the blowing exhaust.
