The 4.6 Has the Hp24 however the HP22 will cope with the 4.6 so long as you aren't ragging the ever living shít out of it every few seconds

So.... It went swimming... It nearly caught fire... It sat for four hours in water... The results are in....
Buggered pulleys,
Buggered water pump,
Buggered alternator,
Buggered starter motor,
Buggered door speaker..
No water in the gearbox or in the front axle... Pffew.. That could have been much worse... It could have turned into an évoque
..My mate Keith has sorted a replacement speaker.
So for a 500€ euro bill... it lives.
Two replacement door locks from my scrapper and a Shït load of luck

I've had luck with exchange engines, however can't guarantee you'll have either a good one or a **** one

Problem is, i get the impression that whether you buy an engine for £700 with '100000 miles' on it or pay 1200 for an engine with '30000 miles' on it, you get the next engine in line.. it might be just run in or it might have 250000 miles on it.. maybe I'm cynical but you don't seem to get the advertised engine, just 'one off the shelf'That's where my current one came from

Yes, different to 4.0 and diesel which have a weaker box unless you have a manual box.
