I do like a man who, like me, bears a grudge.:D:D:D
No grudge here Alan, just informative info for us chaps. Just goes to show dealers will do anything to shift their stock around their dealer mates in UK to 1, throw folk off the scent & 2, try and sell their stock elsewhere undetected.
They need to get up a lot earlier mate. Ive looked at soooooooooooooooooo many P38's for sale lately so you just DONT forget certain examples as they just stand out like a sore thumb no matter what is done to them they still remain the exact same pile of crap. LOL

Definaty water, still havent got to look at it yet hoping tomorrow for a dry day.
Have you checked for antifreeze? as recently mine was sodden along sill and bottom of pillar, but dry under pedals and seemingly down carpet on side of bulkhead. It turned out to be heater matrix leaking and coming under carpet and wetting under the square rubber matting thus when I trod on it , it squeezed the wetness towards the sill area.. I just slid a sheet of kitchen towel under the matrix and when the engine was run it became wet. I changed the matrix for an Audi one that fit straight in. No loss of heat and no O rings to worry about

Got overtaken today by a supercharged L322.. :D

His moment was short-lived however as a black BMW 5 series flew past with flashing blue lights :D

I was doing 60 and he must of being doing atleast 100 I passed him in a layby being told off by a pretty grumpy looking policeman LOL :D
Why can't traffic cops use marked cars anymore? Suppose they wouldn't catch anyone then though and that's more important than road safety

Its father in laws birthday today, 85 bless him, the wife and her sister have bought him a new outside chair to sit on when the weather picks up. Gimmi keys to RR and I'll put it in back and we can run it up in a bit. OK I says. When I've just taken it out the boot is wet through. On inspection she has put one of the legs into a box I have for odds and ends including various aerosol cans. You guessed it straight down onto my can of contact cleaner and emptied entire contents around the boot. On the plus side it smells nice, has dried out quickly but now I need a new tin of contact cleaner:eek::eek::D

Car dealers do it all the time and have done for years move off old stock and replace nothing wrong with that mate dealers buy cars from each other from Oppersite ends of the country cheaper up north and sell down south

I've noticed a lot of dealers are hiding the reg in ads, out of order IMO, you should be able to check the MOT history.

I always ask the sellers for the reg number so i can do my own checks. Most are ok but the ones who wont or don't reply are the ones to avoid.
Then you get the ones who state " MINT CONDITION & DRIVES GREAT " and then go on to list a big list of bad points!!! LMAO at them types i do.

Had similar once in the back of my 110 csw, went round a corner, some tools shifted in the back and a hissing noise started.
Stopped feckin quick, but still too late. A can of building foam was busy expanding all over the place. Lovely.

That has got to be the worst it makes such a mess and is bloody hard to clean up:eek:
Nasty stuff in a can, we had some stuck to our white boxer dog 20yr ago.. Poor bugger, it took weeks to shift

got a poorly (i think) speed sensor off my bike.. 3 pin (12v signal ground) so I presume hall effect sensor.. apparently open circuit between all 3 pins.. that means its dead, doesn't it?
