Kin'ell what an ache to get to the oil pressure gauge!
Finally got it done and getting 38 psi at idle once the engine was up to temp. Rising with a blip of the throttle.
Sounds healthy enough to me, but engine decided not to tap once!!
With that kind of pressure, although it wasn't tapping at the time, am i right in thinking the big ends must be healthy?
If that's the case, it MUST be a tappet? Can't see what else it can be

You don't have a video with sound by any chance so we can hear it

Weird one that. I've not heard tappets like that though, but that's only me. You haven't got a plate or shield anywhere that's loose and rattling have you?
No exhaust heat shield on. Not sure what else it could be, I've gone round with a listening stick, only place i hear anything is one of the middle sump bolts, there is some noise from the rocker area too

Now that I've used my oil pressure tester for the first time, do i just put it back in the box or somehow clean it? Hopefully won't be using it again any time soon!
