oh, discos have a different speedo gear than defenders then? must remember that when doing 1.2s.
you can still stick the one from the defender into it though, so it's all ok

not necessarily some defender input shafts have 21 teeth some 22 teeth which is the same as disco but width of gear varies too so suffix needs to be related

also, you can pick up decent used lt77s for 50 quid.. so not really worth mucking about with imo. though if you have the cash and are keeping the landy with that engine for a while, i'd rebuild it.

So mine is a suffix F I presume? That being the last number on the serial number on the casing.
So if I find a disco box with a F suffix I coul be ok for an input shaft change over?

because yours is a 50a you cant use the input shaft to convert any disco box
