I'd take a punt on it. It looks relatively tidy, and I currently have 230k on my 99 P38. 15k miles a year for one of these busses is probably accurate, given it was no doubt a motorway muncher.

maybe the spinners have already been taken off

Was thinking that Gstuart

Ha found the wheels it probably used to have!!

Mine had 230,000 on it and only got rid because a glowplug end broke off and knackered a valve, i would of repaired it but I found one with 160,000 local so sold the original and bought my current one for similar money,
Interesting it had a cambelt change nearly 100,000 miles ago, it would need changing again if it indeed had a belt and not a chain.
Personally I’d of kept it standard and advertised it for £4500

I have never quite understood spending thousands of pounds, to make a vehicle look newer on the outside. The only people they are fooling are themselves and people who know nothing about the marque. Even if they get away with it on the outside, all it takes is a look through the window and gosh imagine that its the old, old, version.
Better off putting the money into the parts that count. Thus ensuring it is the most reliable, best kept , old, old version , out there.

Yep I’d second that, keep the money in your bank for when the gearbox spits out the dummies, at 200,000 it’s due for its second replacement,

OMG , i will need a serious amount of therapy after seeing that

wonder how long the low profiles lasted on our pot hole ridden roads,

see there’s a good few D3s that are on 350, 000 miles plus , one has even reached 500,000

always think if there at least serviced routinely it’s got to help , but at the end of the day if there going to fail in reality there’s not much else u can do
