Since still getting creaking noise and vibration from rear ONLY on right turns and its been to garage 4 times now and they say nothing seems loose. Already changed a few bushes and the rear diff mounts so not sure what else it could be but did discover that i have a oil leak from diff on the drivers side.

Could that be anything to do with it?

the symptoms I think you are on about is not the actual back sub frame it is one of the bolts that holds the back sub frame on usually the right hand side one for some reason the cavity nut comes undone then starts to move about on mine I welded the nut to the body and welded the crack up. LR did admit to there being a problem with that nut but said they put the wrong nut on . if you lower slightly the sub frame by undoing all bolts just enough so you can see ,to see if there is any damage to the body where it bolts on
if you have cracking sound in that area this will be the cause. but not a vibration best of luck with it and hope this helps

I'm wondering since it has a leaking diff would a worn half shaft give similar symptoms as described if it isn't the sub frame bolt?

So No point getting it changed and the drive shaft checked yet then.

I'll have to get under the car again and see if I can undo the bolts to look under them.

Yep had a look there first but no luck.

Probably an obvious question to the more mechanically minded but can I loosen off the subframe bolts with the car just on ramps or will I need to have it jacked up on axle stands and the wheels off?

FWIW I would not consider that a leak !

Have a check of the front rear subframe bolt/mounting - bear in mind its effectively double skinned there . Mine looked fine from the underneath but the inside where the nut was welded had cracked and broken up .

You need the weight off the wheels to allow the subframe to drop a bit .

Or have a look through the hole in the boot floor ?
