The best mods for me are those I've made or had to fettle meself .. I've bought stuff like the Adrenaline trailing arms that are pretty damn awesome kit, but I'm far more proud and happy with the spring mounts and relocation cones on the axle 'cos I had to work at it to make them work right and still be absolutely safe .. anyone can buy stuff and bolt it on ..
Next project is a dogguard/bulkhead to stop sh!t hitting the fan, or me crust, if/when it goes belly up .. again, cost of new or 2nd hand is too much so I'll be making it out of an old school, metal framed table and fencing panel ..
When I can afford the steel I'll be fixing the winch bumper so I can reverse winch, or at least winch to the side, whilst also making it less rusty and more solid .. for now it's just another bolt-on winch bumper. Also need to make recovery plates for it, or weld some bent re-bar on maybe ..
Also currently looking at making wrap-under diff guards, I have a small amount of 5mm steel plate and round, diff-pan bolt-on guards already fitted, and will utilise these, but weld on a bent strip of steel that goes under the diff to the nose where it'll bolt on a-la QT etc ..
Loads of ideas floating about .. some may even be made up in small batches and be for sale .. eventually ..
