I was heading out of the village in the white 3 door 1990 Land Rover Discovery 3.5 V8 Automatic with all-season partly worn tyres and on a steep and icey hill I saw a 2002 Mitsubishi Shogun 4X4 Turbo Diesel with brand new winter tyres on stuck half way up with it's wheels spinning round and round!
So I parked up next to it and asked if they wanted a tow to the top, they looked over from their big modern Mitsubishi at my old rusty 3 door Landy and I could see it in their faces they were thinking - He's nuts! How can that pull us out!?
They were grateful for any help though, so they said yes.
I pulled up infront of them and put a rope round my tow bar and tied it in their front towing eye, then slipped into Low and slowly eased the hand brake off.
I had to laugh at the look on their faces when their Mitsubishi got tugged effortlessly out of the icey hole by a rusty old Land Rover! I took them to the top then untied them, and they gave my 10 quid and admitted they didn't think my wee Disco was up to the job!
I'm so chuffed of her!
