Brilliant day out, wet as you like, got to use all of my recovery kit today, winch, waffles, ground anchor the lot.

Been up Whaddon today with Neil, more repair work to the top marsh, filled the deep ruts in that was cut out during the last session. If you are thinking of going around the bottom corner tomorrow then ensure you have good clearance, I made it up there with my 35" Fedima's (Neil did not), I think you will need at least 33" tyres due to the deep ruts in places, We have filled some of them with bricks.

goin to be up there next sunday (11th) with my disco and possible the rrc just to advertise them as selling up, will have boot loads of spares and few axles if anyone would be intrested

I'll be up there, I might be interested in parts, but could really do with a complete discovery 300 to use as a donor! Fed up with putting Recon parts on that only last a session or Two.

speaking to doug yesterday and he were on about you keep breaking your truck, got a complete 200tdi d1 that my bro selling, only got 300 parts on floor at moment

Fitted another starter motor today, alternator, rear diff & CV joint a few weeks ago. Even the salisbury axle didn't last 6 months! Been reading up about fitting the P38 4 pin hub into the 300 diff housing.

Starters usually just get clogged by muddy water. I think you where unlucky with that one.
And the alternator regulagors are killed by muddy water too. Nasty stuf.. but I may have a solution for the regulator if I ever get to test it.
Bet its your tyres that kill the axles... they're mahoosive! May be worth down sizing :(

I went for the Fedima tyres for ground clearance as the Salisbury diff was catching with the 31" tyres I use to run on. I was at Whaddon yesterday and there are some deep ruts leading up to the bank where the mud pits are, the standard axles diff was nearly catching as I went up there.

Krams what are you breaking??? to break a salisbury it must have been Fubar or your a really overly aggressive driver? My salisbury has lasted me nearly 5 years with a locker and has been abused to the nth degree. If you need parts let me know I have a few bits and they will be good not knackared stuff.

Spydie I had to really really resist. Good year studded suregrip in 40 inch measured size and only 11.00 wide. He wanted £600 for the set of 4.
