it has no power and won't turn over. it's like the battery is dead, and won't even lock. dad say's it's coz i had the radio on when i was washing it but i didn't!! xx

what does crank mean???

crank in this case means the engine spinning (turning over)

i would look towards water causing an electrical short and draining the battery then

where abouts are you maybe a local member could have a look at it for you

You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Landy Zone!

(with apologies to Rod Serling)

look at the main earth to body and also generally the main battery connections, corrosion and damp can do strange things

I would initially look at the king lead, they cahff on the air box - a ........one of many weak points on the freeloader. Whilst you are at it, clean the dizzy out and check for cracks.

They also have problems with the ECU filling with water as the drain hole gets blocked.

Check those first - then go onto the starter leads, battery terminals etc

Freeloaders get that nick name from being just about the only car in the world, that can break down without actually being running at the time - they cost you money without doing anything!

Have a look on ebay and see if anyone is selling luck, you will be needing it! Good Luck (no charge for that one!)
