Well...

Well... I just bought a 1998 Land Rover Discovery LE the other day. Went to the dealership after a 2001 Ford f-150 4x4, but couldn't get the price down low enough. The price of used trucks here is extremely outrageous. The Land Rover had caught my eye earlier, it was about the only decent 4x4 in my price range ($7900), it had relatively low miles, and its something different. I'm still trying to decide if it was a good idea or not.

I was doing some research on Land Rovers as I know absolutely nothing about them and I happen to come across this site. I decided I might as well join.

Anything a Land Rover noob should know?

Wow, they are really a bit expensive in Texas, a friend in LA got a Disco II 2001 for the same money.

But I think you got a decent truck and as long as there is not to much rust they are pretty faultless (for a Landy)

She is not aggressive toward kids, and shes only treed few people she didn't like.

Well... I'm not very proud to say this at this day and age, but I am from America.

You should be proud. Like us over here, but our Leaders should be ashamed.

Welcome OD.... I hope you'll find that owning a Landy is more than just owning a car. I've got a Disco and a Defender... I want for nothing else!
