guys i need some help my wife took the p38 out today and my heater flaps have stuck take it my blends have packed  in anyone got any ideas were to get them and a price on em plus were do i start what`s the best way of getting at em someones told me i can get at em without the dash out:confused:

Land rover time is 8 hours for replacing these, their way is to take the dash out, you DONT wanna be doing that, it is possible to do it with the dash in but its a long and fiddly job

search ebay
ive found a place that will fit them for £300., so ive booked mine in. Its being done on the 8th of Jan so i will keep you informed

Matt

cheers for the help lads checked ebay and the guys in dudley i`m in bilston round the corner so might have a go see what he`s jobs like;)

Update

Just had my blend motors replaced. Came out and visited and done a great job, at a fraction of the time and cost of Land rover, i am v pleased!!

great matt i`m glad your done as it goes iv`e just came in from doing mine not as bad as i thought manged to get round the vent pipes a couple of the screws was fiddly but iv`e done it but thanx for getting back to me:D

Hi all, just read your messages and wonder if you could give me some quick pointers on where to start and what to expect as my directional blender (windscreen/footell etc) sticks when cold, annoying if you don't use the car everyday. I know what they look like but i don't know where they are.

Cheers, Nick.

m8 if youv`e got the rave cd it will show you if not you need to take out your speedo clocks you will then see two black boxs the motors behind the plastic vent pipe it`s the bottom one hope this help it is possable to change it but it is really awkward but i got there in the end when i done mine;)

not sure if you would be able to get the blends from anywere else than the main dealer but the three are all linked together and plug in the hevac as one unit "plug" so if you did want to change one you would have to cut and rejoin the wires put if i was you i`d change them all while you were on and do a proper job good luck hope you get sorted;)

Had the guy out from ebay to replace my 3 blend motors yesterday.. 2.5 hours and all done, even replaced my H/L motor washer and arm for free (had my own parts).

Excellent service, would highly recommend and for £300, a bargin

Tim
