Shame you can't hire one really it'd save storage when you might not need to use frequently
Do speedy hire hire welding plants?

Aye, I had checked into that but the only welder's I can hire locally are arc welder's. My local HSS (35 miles away) are clueless and don't hire mig's:(. I did borrow a mates pro welder to do a small patch recently but sadly his garage burnt down taking both his welder's, all his tools & 2 cars in the process:eek:

But it's something I've been putting off for 5 years, so one way or the other whether it's a new hobby welder or a 2nd hand decent one, I'll be buy one this coming weekend so that I can practise like mad before I attempt to fit the new boot floor (have kids so need it sorted sharpish) ...

Wot i ment is the prosess and resolt of a gasless mig weld is like an arch weld. Standard mig welding is easyer to master
From a hobby point of view if your out of gas a real of gasless wire is handy to have ,but you need practice
If you can do gasless you can do mig :dance::dance:
