Ok sooo whilst driving long my headlights flicker on and off :(

so today i decided to prod around whilst it was running and when i jiggle the fuse box about the lights stopped flickering , but then the hazard lights just flash all the time ,and a green box in pass footwell it clicking like mad :(

As i was parked on matalan carpark (waiting for the mrs) so i removed fuse 1 from the bottom whiteish block under the main fuse box that stopped the hazard lights flashing , but my indicators still work , i removed the 10a dipped beam fuses to stop them flickering ,which has worked to get me home .

Here is the odd bit , the imobilizer no longer works ,nor does the central locking
But the car starts fine and i no longer have to press the fob and the little red pic of a disco with a key in it doesnt illuminate .

I know its a tall order but anyone shed any light on a fault like that !

I have so far done the folowing to no avail ......
Cleaned all earth points on inner wings , swapped the bulbs , checked all wires i could access in engine bay and under the dash

If your going to interfere with electrical equipment isolate it from it's power supply first.
Touching the security ECU u have activated the crash inertia switch which will switch on the hazards, resetting that is by switching off and back on the ignition switch.

Is it a fault? Perhaps the fuse u removed is the supply fuse to the ECU.
Or maybe it's because you was near Matalan.

Im betting on the matalan thing ! . having looked at it again the fusebox is showing signs of damp , im going to swap it for another , i quite like the fact it starts and the imobiliser seems to have fell out and disappeared .

Just a quick update , it was a corroded fuse box , i kept my amr bit tho as it wasnt the same .

Lights are brighter , rear windows work ( never have before lol )

rear wiper works too ! thats been broke since i bought the disco ! .

Immobiliser works and central locking . Thank fully i had the part on the shelf in the shed ! gotta be a first for me to need anything that i keep for "just in case"
