just replaced the zenith carb on my 2.25 petrol series III with a weber replacement (off paddocks)

i cant seem to get the mixture right, it just seems to be too rich most of the time or cut out whenever throttle is applied

does anyone know what position the screws should be in, half out, all the way in etc. on the fuel mixture and the larger (fuel flow?) screws??

is it that the adjustments on the screws are quite precise and im guessing a few turns is too much??
any help much appreciated :)

yeah ive got that weber blurb that came with the carb, didint seem to work. kl cheers guys, thats really useful :)

The "blurb" as you call it tells you how to set up the carb. It works, that's why they sent it to you.

If its not running properly then either you have not followed the "blurb" or you have another problem...

I shall not waste my time with any further information as there are more appreciative causes.

Duck oil or similar over the suspected leak site-if it changes it's running=source of air leak
