Series 2 Weber carb too small to fit

Evening,


Ordered a Weber carburettor from John Craddocks to replace the worn out Solex on my series 2a 2.25, went to fit it tonight and the stud holes in the webber are too small and too close together to fit on the manifold.


Have I got an odd ball intake manifold or am I missing something simple?

Doesn't a webber need a 90 degree adapter to fit it? That might also correct the mounting stud/hole position problem.

Think you may need an adaptor. But may be wrong but looking at your pics and comparing a quick google.

Need adaptor, thought they came with the carb.

Ahh, didn't realise i needed an adaptor! nice easy fix, many thanks for your swift replies.

Either ERC2974 or 554175. Not quite sure of the details. I have something like this on mine, and the webber dropped straight on.
