Has anyone done a really good Diesel Air Heater installation in a Defender 90 TD5? I've just bought one.
1. Needs a 10cm hole cut in the floor
2. Can be noisy
I've seen on this site one mounted behind the front seats. The preferred place seems to be squeezing alongside the battery under the passengers seat. I don't really want to use up already scarce space in the back, and they don't sound suitable for 'outside' mounting. I can't do the cubby box thing because the kids love having a centre front seat.
Unless anyone says different it sound like the battery box is right …. but would love to have some photos to copy on how it works and where everything is routed.

PS - the kit came with x2 silencers - do I need two?

The kit I bought was this one

If you don't fit an inlet and outlet silencer it sounds like you have a jet engine.

I hate it when I end up parked up in the camper next to ****s who didn't bother fitting the silencers.
