had the clunk on taking up drive on mine since i bought it,its not the gearbox,i know the previous owner and they had the input shaft done,there does not seem to be any play in the a frame ball joint,so how would i go about checking the rear salisbury diff for play is it as simple as up on stands,handbrake off,and try to feel for wear?
