Water Pump Stud Bolts

Hi all,

I have removed the Water Pump as part of an overhaul of the cooling system, very dirty and radiator burst, so ideal time, but when removing the Water Pump an number of the Studs came out as rusted to the nuts, I have found replacement studs (pt no. 514527), but can't find what the nuts that go with them, not sure what thread they are either to look for an equivilant, they appear to be missing on Parts lists for Water Pumps.

does any body have any ideas?

What year engine ? Most will be 5/16 UNF (1/2" A/F Spanner) Not sure about the later 5 bearing metric engines, take a stud to any fastener stockist and they should sort you out. Where are you ? I have micrometers and thread gauges in my workshop.

Sorry thought I'd added engine details it is 2 1/4 petrol 1976, and am based in Southampton area (forest side), it is odd that I can find the studs with part no. but not the nuts. Fastner stockist may be the easiest.

If it is original motor should be 5/16" unf
