Afternoon landyzoners!
Shirley here, again 🙄
Just removed the water pump and have managed to snap a stud😭
Any ideas on how to extract said stud?
Or am I better off taping out the hole to take a slightly shorter stud?

Thanks in advance for any help 😃

Got to do same job soon...going to remove timing cover then weld large washer to broken stud then large nut to washer and broken stud already got crank pully off.

If you have access to a lathe you could cut the broken end of the removed part of the stud drills pilot hole through the centre and thread it back in the hole and use it as a pilot to centre the drill when you drill the broken off stud.
think the thread is BSF unsure of the size so I would drill just under size of the thread and then tap to the correct size this should break the damaged thread from the wall of the stud hole
