hi i just bought my first range rover on monday felt like a king lol but was short lived since monday i have put in approx 2 litres of water and its all gone i checked the oil it has risen but not discoloured there is no steam comming out the tail pipes and can see no water on the floor or in the footwells any ideas please

well just took it for a run till it was good and hot checked the oil no discolouration at all it blows hot air constantly on the drivers side even with the a/c on the other side is fine and also the top rad hoses are cold but up by the vents they are hot any other ideas pls ?

If you just bought it m8, tbh take it back, not your problem its his, and your making it your problem when it isn't, the guy you bought it from must know it has issues, let him spend his hard earned cash on it, then take it back, he is trying it on m8

I don't know the law, but is there such a thing as sold as seen, even in a car auction you get a few hours to take it back, me i would go around and persuade him its just not the right thing to do.....then i would lump the ****er

u sure the oil level is rising?

It might just be something simple like your filler cap not sealing and allowing the water to boil off slowly

neville i,m fairly sure that unless you,ve both signed a sold has seen reciept you have upto 2 weeks to try and get the previous owner to take the car back or refund you a little cash to help pay towards the repairs.it all depends on how miffed you are about it.i personally would see what the pre owner says.it looks to me mate like you,ve been sold a lemon.best of luck

well i guess i only have limited options here bite the bullet sell it on but that dont sit right backstreet garage or guy salmon
